Sock It To Me Cake

 

Ingredients:

1 box butter cake mix

1 cup sour cream

1 cup chopped pecans

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 tablespoon cinnamon

½ cup sugar

4 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

½ cup Crisco oil (other oil may cause inferior product)

1 cup sour cream

For glazed topping

1 cup confectioners sugar

3 tablespoons milk or butter or lemon juice or vanilla extract (depending on what flavor you like).

Preparation:

1. Combine cake mix, sugar, oil, sour cream and pecans. Mix well.

2. Add vanilla extract and beaten eggs to batter, mix thoroughly.

3. Get tube baking pan. Oil and lightly flour bottom and sides of pan.

4. Pour half of batter into pan.

5. Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon over top of batter. Do not stir.

6. Add remaining batter.

7. Cook in 350 degree preheated over for 1 hour. Cake is done when toothpick is inserted in middle and comes out clean.

8. Combine confectioners sugar and melted butter or vanilla extract or lemon juice (depending on what flavor you prefer) and mix well.

9. Apply thin layer to the top of hot or warm cake.
